TVS Logistics Services Limited joined hands with Global Rush to launch TVS America, Inc. USA - Will provide Minority Business Enterprises’ benefits to Indian Suppliers and US Manufacturers

Chennai December 05, 2007… TVS Logistics Services Limited (TVS LSL) joined hands with Global Rush - part of the USD 1 Billion minority enterprise owned by Andra Rush to launch “TVS America”. This joint venture will enable a door-to-door logistics gateway to and from India for import and export as well as offer component assembly, warehousing, distribution, product engineering, quality and sourcing services.
Native Americans are recognized in the US as a minority group.  American Manufacturers have as part of affirmative action agreed to support businesses owned and operated by individuals who are considered minorities in the US. Global Rush has been successfully  promoting new professional opportunities for minority employees and TVS Logistics is proud to tie up with Global Rush both as a social cause and economic benefit the new business will bring to all involved.  At the same time, the Joint Venture will provide competitive and global quality to the Indian Suppliers to reach the North American market.
Initially, TVS America will provide sourcing, export and import logistics services to automotive manufacturers and suppliers with plans to expand to include other engineering products.
Prior to signing this Joint Venture, TVS Logistics had been working with Global Rush as an alliance partner and the Turn Over of the Joint Venture is expected to exceed INR 25 crores in the first year and exceed INR 250 crores within five years. The Joint Venture would not only provide their expertise to Indian Suppliers but has already lined up various Suppliers in China with which country Global Rush have been working with for a long while now.
TVS Logistics has established itself in Europe & Asia and has a significant Indian client base who would be able to benefit from this Joint Venture which includes companies like Cummins, Cummins Turbo Technologies, John Deere, Pricol, TVS Group of Companies, Rane Group and Cummins suppliers from India like Indo-schottle, DGP Hinoday, Birla Perucchini, etc. TVS America would have a strong China presence with nearly 15 engineers and staff and this would help TVS Logistics to further offer similar services to its European and other Asian Customers.
  
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. R Dinesh, Director, TVS Logistics Services Ltd  said,   “we are delighted that with this Joint Venture a large and very important market like United States has been covered and this relationship would help TVS Logistics’ customers source not only from India but also from China and vice versa”.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Andra Rush, Chairman, Global Rush said, “We are very much delighted about this Joint Venture as India is one of the growing markets and more & more of our American Customers are sourcing from India; with TVS’ support, we can further expand our business with our current customers and expand to other customers in America as well”.
Global Rush assembles products for a number of vehicle platforms including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Honda, and Suzuki.  TVS America’s current customers include Caterpillar, Cummins Turbo Technology, Fike, Collins Bus, and WABCO.  First quarter 08 launches include products for Ford, Fike, Collins Bus and Magna.
